Sustainable art

Art has been a sort of collective consciousness of the era in which we live. From the depiction of religious figures during their heyday to everyday civilians as aristocracies fell, to the large shift to abstract art after the invention of photography.

Now, as we are becoming more and more conscious of the impact we have in our home, many artists have learned to leave behind normal mediums - creating interesting mixed media pieces that are much more environmentally friendly.

These artworks are not only conscious of the impact they make on the world, but also have a unique identity to them. Sustainable artists have given themselves the creative license (and challenge) when it comes to the use of materials, making this category especially unique.
